Meghmallar Basu found unconscious, now out of danger

Meghmallar Basu, former president of Dhaka University Student Union, was found unconscious and hospitalised. After receiving medical attention, he is now in stable condition and out of danger, though he remains under medical observation.

The matter was confirmed on Tuesday by Muhammad Mostakim, current general secretary of Dhaka University Student Union.

He said Basu had been missing from home and was found unconscious around midnight near the Ramna Gate of Suhrawardy Udyan. No injury marks were visible on his body at the time of rescue.

Mostakim said Basu was first taken to a private hospital and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. Doctors have since reported that his condition has stabilised and he is now out of danger .
