Metro rail resumes operation with full safety measures: DMTCL
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has confirmed that metro rail operations have resumed following necessary repairs and are now running in full compliance with all safety regulations.
In a statement issued on Wednesday (October 29), DMTCL Director (Administration) A K M Khairul Alam said all safety measures have been ensured, urging passengers not to worry and to use the metro rail with confidence.
Earlier, on October 26, a bearing pad fell from a metro rail pillar in Farmgate, killing a pedestrian. Train services were temporarily suspended but later resumed gradually across the entire route.
Notably, a similar incident took place in the same area on September 18, 2024.
