Metro rail services in the capital were suddenly halted on Saturday evening due to a technical glitch, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded at various stations.
The disruption began around 5:20pm, with Mirpur-11 station among those affected. Ticket counters were closed due to network issues, preventing passengers from entering or exiting the station.
Station officials confirmed that a technical fault in the metro network system caused the suspension. Services will remain halted until the problem is resolved.
