Millions gather in Dhaka for Osman Hadi’s janaza

Millions of people have flocked to Dhaka to attend the janaza of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha.

The crowd has turned the area from Khamarbari to Asad Gate into a sea of people, waving national flags and chanting slogans. Law enforcement agencies are struggling to manage the massive turnout, guiding mourners through 16 entry points.

The janaza is scheduled to be held at 2:00pm on Saturday (December 20) at the South Plaza of the National Parliament.

A participant from Dhanmondi said, “I have never seen such a huge crowd in my life.” SM Nazrul Islam, a Bangladeshi living in the US, added, “A person like Hadi is born once in a thousand years. Waiting in line for two to three hours is a privilege. Even if it takes the whole day, we are ready to wait. I had hoped to participate in his campaign if he recovered, but now I can only pay my respects.”
