Minister Tuku going to Thailand for treatment on Sep 13

Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku is going to Thailand for official work and his own medical treatment. He is scheduled to leave for Thailand on September 13.

The information was confirmed by Arif Sadeque, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, to Dhaka Post on Thursday night, September 10.

When contacted, the minister's personal assistant Abdullah Al Kayes told Dhaka Post that the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister is scheduled to go to Thailand on September 13. He will return home on September 20 after completing his medical treatment and official work.

It has been learned that the minister suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure. On September 1, he was admitted to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital and Research Institute due to fever, breathing difficulties and cough-related problems . A few days earlier, a stent was placed in a blood vessel in Bangkok.
