Mirza Abbas appointed president of DMCH management committee

The government has appointed Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Member of Parliament for Dhaka-8 and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister (with the status of a minister), as the president of the Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital Management Committee.

A notification to this effect was issued on Thursday (July 30) by the Health Services Management-1 Branch of the Health Services Division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The notification, signed by Health Services Division Deputy Secretary Kazi Sharif Uddin, said Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed has been nominated as the president of the DMCH Hospital Management Committee by order of the competent authority.

The notification further mentioned that he is currently serving as the Member of Parliament for the Dhaka-8 constituency and as the Prime Minister's Political Adviser (with the status of a minister).
