Mirza Abbas shows signs of recovery, shifted to cabin from ICU

BNP standing committee member and Prime Minister's political adviser Mirza Abbas, currently undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital, was moved from the Critical Care Unit (ICU) to a cabin in the early hours of Friday, April 3.

BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan, citing family sources, said Abbas is gradually recovering as advised by doctors and is speaking to everyone on a limited basis.

He was taken to Singapore by air ambulance on March 15 from Evercare Hospital in the capital's Bashundhara residential area.

Meanwhile, another BNP standing committee member and Prime Minister's adviser Nazrul Islam Khan left for Singapore on Tuesday for medical treatment at the National University Hospital there.

Abbas was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital after suddenly losing consciousness during Iftar on March 11. He later underwent brain surgery and was taken to Singapore by air ambulance on March 15 for advanced treatment.
