Mohakhali Sattola slum catches fire

A fire has broken out in the sattola slum in Mohakhali in the capital. Seven units of the Fire Service have left for the scene to bring the fire under control.

The Fire Service received the news of the fire at 2:37 pm on Wednesday (August 20).

Fire Service control room duty officer Rozina Akhter confirmed the matter.

She said: "Ad soon as we received the news of the fire, seven units of firefighters left for the scene. However, due to traffic congestion on the road, none of our units have been able to reach the scene yet."

Rozina Akhter also said that initially the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are not known. Detailed information on this will be provided later.
