MPO-listed teachers can apply for transfers from today

Applications for transfers of teachers working at MPO-listed private schools and colleges will open today (August 21), with the process continuing until August 27.

According to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), eligible teachers can submit their applications online from 11am using the user ID and password sent to their registered mobile numbers.

The transfer process will be conducted under the revised 2026 MPO-listed Teachers Transfer Policy. Principals, assistant principals, demonstrators, trade instructors and other MPO-listed teachers at private schools and colleges will be eligible to apply, subject to the prescribed conditions.

An applicant can select up to three institutions in order of preference. Once submitted, applications will be automatically screened by the designated software against the eligibility criteria and other provisions of the transfer policy. Transfer orders will then be issued based on available vacancies and compliance with the policy.

Vacancies in the teacher's own district will be considered first. If no suitable vacancy is available in the relevant subject in that district, the teacher may apply for a vacant post in another district within the same division.

The DSHE has urged eligible teachers to complete their applications online within the stipulated deadline.
