Narendra Modi calls Tarique Rahman to congratulate him

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman to convey his greetings following the party's landslide victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The Indian Prime Minister himself shared this information on Friday, February 13. In a post on social media platform X, he said he was delighted to speak with Tarique Rahman and congratulated him on the extraordinary victory in Bangladesh's election.

In the post, Modi further mentioned that he conveyed his good wishes and support for Tarique Rahman's efforts to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Bangladesh.

The Indian Prime Minister said he reaffirmed India's continued commitment to peace, progress and prosperity for Bangladesh and India as two close neighbours bound by deep historical and cultural ties.
