Nasiruddin Patwary attends protest called against him

Hefazat-e-Islam has called for a protest programme against National Citizen Party (NCP) chief coordinator and Dhaka-8 constituency candidate Nasiruddin Patwary.

The programme was called protesting Patwary's 'lies and unpleasant' comments about former Secretary General and Ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Allama Junaid Babunagari. Patwary himself attended the protest.

The protest programme organized by Allama Junaid Babunagri Smriti Sangsad began at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Asr prayers on Sunday (February 8). Nasiruddin Patwary was seen arriving in front of the venue soon after the programme started. He also gave a speech there.

When some pictures of the protest went viral on social media, a wide discussion started on the issue. Many people made various comments about the presence of the accused there.

Then Nasiruddin Patwary wrote in a post on his Facebook account, "I sincerely express my unconditional apologies to those who have been hurt by my words or behaviour."
