Nation will be proud of upcoming election: Chief Adviser

Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has said the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election, scheduled for February, will be peaceful, well-organised and festive. He said the nation will take pride in this historic election.

He made the remarks on Wednesday, December 3, at the closing ceremony of the National Defence Course and Armed Forces War Course 2025 at Mirpur Cantonment.

Congratulating the course graduates, the chief adviser said their year-long dedication, hard work and acquired knowledge will greatly contribute to national development, policy formulation and strategic decision-making.

Dr Yunus praised the professionalism of the armed forces in disaster management and national security. He said the National Defence College has become a centre of excellence for higher studies in security and development, and is playing a vital role in building capable leadership to address national and global challenges in a rapidly changing world.

He also sought prayers from the nation for the quick recovery of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
