National University degree admission applications begin August 16
Online applications for admission to the Degree (Pass) programme for the 2025-26 academic session at colleges affiliated with the National University will begin on Sunday, August 16, at 4pm. Applications can be submitted until midnight on September 15. Classes for admitted students will commence on October 5.
The information was provided in a notification signed by Dr Md Asheq Kabir Chowdhury, Dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies at the National University, on Saturday, August 15. According to the notification, separate merit lists will be prepared for each college based on SSC and HSC results.
In case of tied merit scores, SSC and HSC GPAs will be considered in a 40:60 ratio. Total marks will also be considered if necessary. If ties persist, younger students will be given priority. The admission process will be completed through first and second merit lists, quota-based merit lists, and first and second release slips. However, there will be no opportunity to apply through a third release slip.
Students who passed SSC or equivalent examinations in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and HSC or equivalent examinations in 2023, 2024 and 2025 will be eligible to apply. Students who passed HSC Vocational, HSC Business Management and Technology from technical education boards, and Diploma-in-Commerce will also be eligible. A-Level, O-Level and foreign certificate holders must apply directly or via email to the Dean's Office following prescribed rules.
Students who were admitted to Bachelor's (Honours), Honours Professional or Degree (Pass) programmes in the last two academic years and have received registration cards will not be able to apply anew. However, they can apply for the new academic year after cancelling their previous admission. If a student is found to have dual admissions, both admissions and registrations will be cancelled.
An application fee of Tk 1,000 must be submitted with the initial application form to the concerned college. Colleges will collect this fee through designated mobile banking methods or directly. To apply, visit the National University admission website, select 'Degree Pass' from 'Applicant Login' and click 'Apply Now'. Then start the application using SSC and HSC roll numbers and select preferred colleges by division and district. Applicants can select up to five colleges by assigning priority among eligible subjects. After completing the application, download the form and submit a print or PDF copy to the concerned college.
