Nationwide Measles vaccination drive to begin April 20
The government will launch a nationwide measles vaccination campaign from April 20, two weeks earlier than initially scheduled.
This information has been confirmed by the Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain on Wednesday (April 8).
Speaking in the National Parliament, the minister said the programme had earlier been set to start on May 3. However, the government was able to secure the required vaccines from UNICEF ahead of schedule, allowing the campaign to begin sooner.
The initiative aims to ensure timely immunisation against measles across the country.
