Navy chief leaves for Saudi Arabia on official visit
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khondkar Misbah Ul Azim has left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on an official visit.
He departed for Saudi Arabia on Saturday, September 5, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
During the visit, the Navy chief will hold courtesy meetings with the Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, the Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and the Commander of the Combined Maritime Defense Alliance. Discussions will cover various bilateral issues of mutual interest.
The ISPR said the Navy chief will exchange views on strengthening existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, as well as cooperation, professional ties and training between the two navies.
During his stay in Saudi Arabia, he will also visit various military and naval establishments of the country. Discussions will focus on mutual naval cooperation and professional matters.
The ISPR expressed hope that the visit would further strengthen existing mutual cooperation and fraternal friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
