Md Nazmul Alam, divisional head and joint secretary at the Financial Reporting Council, has been appointed director general (DG) of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification on Sunday (August 30) confirming the appointment. According to the notification, Alam, a joint-secretary-rank official, has been transferred and posted to the ACC as director general on deputation. The order, issued by the Deputation-1 branch of the ministry by order of the President and signed by Deputy Director Mohammad Nur-e-Alam, will take immediate effect in the public interest.

দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশনের (দুদক) নতুন মহাপরিচালক (ডিজি) হিসেবে নিয়োগ পেয়েছেন ফাইনান্সিয়াল রিপোর্টিং কাউন্সিলের বিভাগীয় প্রধান ও যুগ্মসচিব মো. নাজমুল আলম। রবিবার (৩০ আগস্ট) জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়ের প্রেষণ-১ শাখা থেকে জারি করা এক প্রজ্ঞাপনে এই নিয়োগের তথ্য নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে। রাষ্ট্রপতির আদেশক্রমে প্রজ্ঞাপনে স্বাক্ষর করেন জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়ের উপপরিচালক মোহাম্মদ নূর-এ-আলম। প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়, যুগ্মসচিব পদমর্যাদার কর্মকর্তা মো. নাজমুল আলমকে বদলিপূর্বক প্রেষণে দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশনের মহাপরিচালক পদে পদায়ন করা হয়েছে। এতে আরও বলা হয়, জনস্বার্থে জারি করা এই আদেশ অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে।
