New ministers to pay tribute at National Martyrs' Memorial, Zia's grave
The newly appointed members of the cabinet will pay tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar on Saturday (August 22).
The ministers are scheduled to arrive at the memorial at 1pm and place wreaths at the altar in honour of those who died in the Liberation War.
After paying tribute at the memorial, the cabinet members will return to Dhaka. Five newly appointed ministers and state ministers—Local Government Minister Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Information Minister Andaleeb Rahman Partho, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashiduzzaman Millat, Religious Affairs State Minister Shamim Kaisar Lincoln and Foreign Affairs State Minister Humayun Kabir—will then visit the graves of BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.
They will lay wreaths at the graves and offer Fateha and special prayers seeking the salvation of the departed souls.
