The government has set new office hours for government, semi-government, autonomous, and semi-autonomous institutions during the holy month of Ramadan.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Advisory Council held on Thursday, February 5, chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiul Alam informed journalists of this at a news briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital after the meeting.

He said that during Ramadan, office hours will be from 9am to 3:30pm. Within this period, there will be a 15-minute break for Zuhr prayers from 1:15pm to 1:30pm.

The Press Secretary further added that banks, insurance companies, the Supreme Court, and other autonomous institutions will determine their office schedules according to their own convenience and requirements.
