New SPs appointed in six districts simultaneously

The government has appointed new Superintendents of Police (SP) in six districts of the country simultaneously. The information was provided in a notification issued on Wednesday, March 4, by the Police-1 Branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the notification, 10 police officers of SP rank have been transferred and assigned new duties simultaneously in six districts including Bogura, Sylhet and Mymensingh. The transferred officers have been instructed to join their new workplaces immediately.

According to the order signed by Deputy Secretary Tawsif Ahmed, Bogura SP Md Shahadat Hossain has been made SP of Armed Police Battalion (APBn), and Khagrachhari SP Mirza Sayem Mahmud has been assigned as Bogura SP. Additionally, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Md Mostak Sarkar has been appointed as Khagrachhari SP, and Mymensingh SP Md Mizanur Rahman has been posted as SP of Noakhali Police Training Centre.

DMP Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kamrul Hasan has been made Mymensingh SP. Sylhet SP Kazi Akhtar Ul Alam has been transferred as SP of APBn. Jamalpur SP Dr Chowdhury Md Jaber Sadek has been assigned as Sylhet SP, and DMP Deputy Commissioner Mosammat Farhana Yasmin has been given charge as Jamalpur SP. According to the notification, Barishal SP Farjana Islam has been made SP of Naval Police, and AIG of Police Headquarters A Z M Mostafizur Rahman has been appointed as Barishal SP.

The order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
