There will be no discrimination in the education curriculum, and a parallel system within the curriculum will be ensured, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has said.

"We are working anew to improve this curriculum. We will be able to implement the new curriculum within the next two to three years," he told journalists after visiting Basail Government Primary School in Narsingdi town on Saturday, April 25.

Regarding teacher evaluation, Hajjaj said efforts are being made to improve the system, with special changes being introduced in training. He said a new policy is forthcoming under which no primary school teacher will be appointed without full training. Candidates must complete full training and pass before becoming eligible for appointment.

The state minister noted that policies for over 1.2 lakh teachers in more than 65,000 government primary schools cannot be changed overnight. These reforms are being introduced step by step, he said, adding that quality improvement will follow and teachers will come under full monitoring.

Earlier, Hajjaj participated in a programme titled 'Bangladesh in One Voice' at Narsingdi Children's Academy, which focused on the continuity of the great liberation war of 1971 and the July revolution of 2024.
