New VCs appointed to three public universities
The government has appointed new Vice-Chancellors (VCs) to three public universities: Netrokona University, Habiganj Agricultural University and Kishoreganj University.
Separate notifications from the Ministry of Education on Monday (July 27) confirmed the appointments.
Professor Md Khaled Uzzaman of the Institute of Education and Research at Rajshahi University has been appointed as the VC of Netrokona University.
Professor Md Mozammel Haque of the Department of Food Engineering and Tea Technology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has been appointed VC of Habiganj Agricultural University. Professor Md Habibur Rahman of the Department of Zoology at Rajshahi University has been appointed VC of Kishoreganj University.
According to the notifications, the tenure of the newly appointed VCs will be four years. However, as Chancellor of the universities, the President may cancel the appointment at any time if deemed necessary.
