No concessions for those blocking roads, says Home Adviser
Home Affairs Advisor Lt. Gen. (retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has warned that no concessions will be given to those who blocked roads over the change in parliamentary constituency boundaries in Faridpur.
"The law will be enforced against those who are blocking the movement of common people," he said.
He made the remark while addressing to reporters following the core committee meeting at the Home Ministry’s conference room on Sunday (September 14).
“No one has given the access to hold millions of people hostage by blocking roads. If they do not resolve this by today, we will be forced to enforce the law,” the adviser said.
Discussions at the meeting focused on law and order, police capacity building, election readiness, and tackling robbery, theft, and border issues.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the ongoing dispute between the two unions in Faridpur.
“If they truly have grievances, they should express them through the proper channels; creating public inconvenience is unacceptable,” he added.
