No fuel crisis, action against artificial shortage: Minister
There is no shortage of petrol, octane, diesel or edible oil in the country, Liberation War Affairs Minister Advocate Ahmed Azam Khan has said. He also stated that some unscrupulous traders are attempting to create an artificial crisis to profit from the situation.
The minister made these remarks while speaking to journalists during an Eid greetings exchange with various government offices and freedom fighters in Sakhipur upazila, Tangail, on Monday afternoon, March 23.
The minister said the current government will not tolerate such unscrupulous traders in any way. He also assured those operating vehicles that there is no reason to worry about a fuel crisis.
Regarding Shaheed Osman Hadi, Ahmed Azam Khan said the government is working on the matter with utmost seriousness. The issue was given importance even before the government came to power, and necessary measures will be taken to ensure proper justice for all killings.
Present at the event were Sakhipur Upazila Executive Officer Abdullah Al Roni, Police Station Officer-in-Charge Helal Uddin, upazila BNP acting president Nazimuddin Master, general secretary Kabir Hossain, along with local political leaders, freedom fighters and government officials.
