Gas supply will be suspended in some upazilas of Cumilla from 8 am to 8 pm on Wednesday (December 31) due to urgent work on the gas pipeline. Bakhrabad Gas Distribution Company Limited (BGDCL) gave this information in a message on Tuesday (December 30). It said that gas supply to all categories of customers in Laksam, Lalmai and Barura upazilas of Comilla district will be temporarily suspended from 8 am to 8 pm on Wednesday due to urgent repair and maintenance work on the gas pipeline in Laksam sub-area. BGDCL authorities have expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience.

গ্যাস পাইপলাইনের জরুরি কাজের জন্য বুধবার (৩১ ডিসেম্বর) সকাল ৮টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত গ্যাস সরবরাহ বন্ধ থাকবে কুমিল্লার কয়েকটি উপজেলায়। মঙ্গলবার (৩০ ডিসেম্বর) এক বার্তায় এ তথ্য জানিয়েছে বাখরাবাদ গ্যাস ডিস্ট্রিবিউশন কোম্পানি লিমিটেড (বিজিডিসিএল)। এতে বলা হয়, লাকসাম উপ-এলাকার গ্যাস পাইপলাইনের জরুরি মেরামত ও রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ কাজের জন্য বুধবার সকাল ৮টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত কুমিল্লা জেলার অন্তর্গত লাকসাম, লালমাই ও বরুড়া উপজেলার সব শ্রেণির গ্রাহকদের গ্যাস সরবরাহ সাময়িক বন্ধ থাকবে। সাময়িক অসুবিধার জন্য দুঃখ প্রকাশ করেছে বিজিডিসিএল কর্তৃপক্ষ।
