No Govt can solve problems alone: Amir Khasru
Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of BNP’s Standing Committee, said that no government can provide solutions on its own. He made the remarks on Tuesday (13 January) at a citizen platform dialogue titled “National Election 2026 and Citizens’ Expectations” in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury stated that the public’s trust in politics is low—and this is a fact. He emphasized that it is the responsibility of politicians to restore this trust through accountability.
He believes that if accountability can be ensured, reforms will automatically follow. He added that in the future, those who fail to uphold accountability and citizens’ aspirations will have no political future.
Highlighting the role of civil society in maintaining a democratic environment, the BNP leader said that without their participation, dictatorship emerges. “No government alone can provide solutions; implementation requires partnership,” he noted.
He also mentioned that if BNP comes to power, it will address problems by working together with the private sector, civil society, and NGOs.
