No one will be spared for breaking law: Mahdi Amin

Prime Minister’s Adviser Mahdi Amin has said that anyone involved in activities that violate the law or disrupt public order will face strict legal action, regardless of political or official connections.

He made the remarks on Sunday (September 27) after returning to Bangladesh from the United States, while responding to questions about recent attacks in Dhaka, including the vandalism of content creator Salman Muqtadir’s studio and the attack on a health centre in Mirpur.

Amin said he learned the details of the incidents after returning from the US and noted that nine people had already been brought under the law over the attack on the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur-1.

He said law enforcement agencies had been instructed to investigate the incidents properly and arrest those responsible swiftly.

“Anyone who tries to escape accountability by using the name of a senior government official or an influential political figure will not be spared,” Amin said, adding that the law would take its own course.

He also said the Home Ministry and law enforcement agencies were actively working to maintain public order and would take legal action whenever incidents of violence or disorder occurred.

Amin stressed that the government would take firm action against attempts to undermine public safety and the rule of law.
