Noble held on charges of confining woman, filming obscene videos

Police have arrested singer Mainul Ahsan Noble on charges of detaining a young woman by promising marriage, harassing her and attempting to record obscene photos and videos.

A team from Demra Police Station conducted a raid and arrested him around 12:30 pm on Monday, February 23, from the Battala area under Siddhirganj police station in Narayanganj.

Demra Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Murad Hossain confirmed the matter and said an arrest warrant was issued against Noble by the court in a case filed by the victim. He was detained based on that warrant. He is currently in police custody and will be produced before court after completion of legal procedures.

According to police and case sources, Noble allegedly called the young woman to his studio on the promise of marriage and detained her for a day. During this time, he allegedly pressured her to forcibly record obscene photos and videos.

Following the incident, the victim filed a case with the court on August 13, 2025. The court assigned PBI to conduct further investigation. After investigation, when the report was submitted on February 2, 2026, the court issued arrest warrants against Nobel and four others and ordered them to be brought under the law.
