None of you hold power; a greater threat looms ahead: Farhad Mazhar
Poet and intellectual Farhad Mazhar has voiced his concerns regarding a more significant danger that lies ahead.
He made this statement during a discussion meeting of the National Ulama Alliance, an organization supported by the NCP, held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, in Kakrail on Tuesday (May 12).
As a special guest at the discussion, Farhad Mazhar remarked that the political transformation occurring in Bangladesh is fundamentally a 'regime change', orchestrated by the United States. He emphasized that the true authority in the country has not yet been transferred to the populace or political entities.
Farhad Mazhar stated, "The United States has instigated a regime change in Bangladesh. Consequently, they are now in control. None of you are in power. A greater threat looms ahead."
He further noted that in the current political landscape of the nation, there exists a significant disparity between apparent power and actual power. Political and ideological factions must remain vigilant to confront the forthcoming challenges.
The event was chaired by Maulana Ashraf Uddin Mahdi, the convener of the National Ulama Alliance. Other participants at the event included Maulana Ahmed Ali Qasemi, Nayeb-e-Amir of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh and Khilafat Majlis, Sarjis Alam, chief organizer of the northern region of NCP, joint convener Sarwar Tushar, Maulana Musa Al Hafiz, and Maulana Sanaullah Khan, member secretary of NUA.
Farhad Mazhar's remarks have also ignited extensive discussions on social media. Numerous political analysts believe that his statements will foster a renewed dialogue regarding the country's current geopolitical stance and international influence.
