Nur at ICU

Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur, who was injured in a clash in the capital's Kakrail, has been taken to the ICU, said the party's general secretary Rashed Khan.

Quoting doctors, he said that Nur has suffered a brain hemorrhage.

He told this to reporters at Dhaka Medical College around 1am on Saturday.

Rashed Khan said that doctors said Nur has suffered a brain hemorrhage. He has been taken to the ICU, and I don't know if he will survive.

He said: "If anything happens to Nur, the Army Chief and Professor Yunus will have to take responsibility. The Army Chief, Home Affairs Adviser and Chief Adviser will have to clarify their statements within 24 hours. Those who attacked must be identified within 24 hours and action must be taken, otherwise the Jamuna will be cordoned off."

Rashed said that action must be taken against those who carried out the attack. The IGP and DMP commissioner must resign.
