Nur’s physical condition improving, says DMCH Director
The physical condition of Nurul Haque Nur, president of Gono Odhikar Parishad and former DUCSU Vice President, is gradually improving, according to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Director Brig. Gen. Md. Asaduzzaman.
“Nur is under close observation by a six-member medical board. He is showing signs of improvement. The bleeding has started to reduce,” the DMCH director told media on Sunday morning (August 31).
“He suffered four major injuries—fractures to his nose and jaw, an eye injury, and a brain hemorrhage,” the Director said.
Asaduzzaman added that Nur’s CT scan reports are favourable, although he remains in trauma and continues to receive comprehensive medical care.
Nur was seriously injured during a clash in Kakrail on Friday evening between members of Jatiya Party (JaPa) and Gono Odhikar Parishad. The violence erupted while a procession by Gono Odhikar Parishad’s supporters passed the JaPa office.
Law enforcement intervened, during which several individuals, including Nur, were injured. Six people were admitted to DMCH following the incident.
