Pakistan High Commissioner meets Tarique Rahman

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider has met BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

The meeting took place on Friday, January 9, in the afternoon at the BNP political office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the meeting.

Meanwhile, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has called an emergency meeting of the party’s national standing committee later tonight. The meeting, scheduled for 9:30pm at the BNP chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, may discuss the issue of declaring him the party’s full chairman.
