Pakistan’s Speaker arrives in Dhaka to attend Khaleda Zia’s funeral

Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday (December 31) to attend the namaaj-e-janaza of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

He landed at 10:45am and was confirmed by Mohammad Fasih Ullah Khan, press counsellor at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.

Khaleda Zia’s janaza will be held at 2:00pm at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad, led by the Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. She will be buried with state honours beside the grave of late President Ziaur Rahman.
