The second session (Budget Session-2026) of the 13th National Parliament is set to resume on Tuesday, July 7, after a six-day break. The session will begin at 3:00 pm with a recitation from the Holy Quran.

Earlier, on June 11, the national budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year was presented in parliament, followed by lengthy discussions from both treasury and opposition benches. Various national issues, including the economy, inflation, employment, elections and law and order, were raised. The session was adjourned on June 30 after the budget for the new fiscal year was passed.

The Parliament Secretariat said the budget had already been passed in the current session, along with the Finance Bill and several other important bills.

According to the Business Advisory Committee, the session will continue until July 9, though the duration may be extended.
