The parliament session will continue on Friday as well, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni told journalists during a break in the session on Wednesday, April 8. He said 44 ordinances have been passed as bills so far in the ongoing session. The target is to dispose of all remaining 133 ordinances by Friday. The special decision was taken considering the workload. Parliament Secretariat sources said the plan was made to ensure speedy passage of urgent and important bills. Moni also expressed dissatisfaction over defects and mismanagement of the sound system in the parliament building. He alleged that the tender-winning firm had outsourced the work to another party, causing the problems.

চিফ হুইপ নূরুল ইসলাম মনি জানিয়েছেন শুক্রবারও সংসদের অধিবেশন চলবে। বুধবার (৮ এপ্রিল) অধিবেশনের বিরতিতে গণমাধ্যমের সঙ্গে আলাপকালে তিনি এ তথ্য জানান। চিফ হুইপ বলেন, চলমান অধিবেশনে এখন পর্যন্ত ৪৪টি অধ্যাদেশ বিল আকারে পাস হয়েছে। বাকি থাকা মোট ১৩৩টি অধ্যাদেশই শুক্রবারের মধ্যে নিষ্পত্তির লক্ষ্য নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে। কাজের চাপ বিবেচনায় এই বিশেষ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। সংসদ সচিবালয় সূত্র জানায়, জরুরি ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিলগুলো দ্রুত পাস নিশ্চিত করতেই এই কর্মপরিকল্পনা হাতে নেওয়া হয়েছে। এদিকে সংসদ ভবনের সাউন্ড সিস্টেমে ত্রুটি ও অব্যবস্থাপনা নিয়ে অসন্তোষ প্রকাশ করেন নূরুল ইসলাম মনি। তিনি অভিযোগ করেন, টেন্ডারপ্রাপ্ত প্রতিষ্ঠান নিজেরা কাজ না করে তা অন্য পক্ষের কাছে হস্তান্তর করেছে, যার ফলে এ ধরনের সমস্যা তৈরি হয়েছে।
