Government offices, banks and insurance companies reopened from Tuesday after the seven-day holiday of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Office activities will start from 9am and will continue till 5pm.

A large number of working people have started returning to the capital Dhaka from their village homes after the Eid holiday. Most government officials and employees have already joined their workplaces.

Due to this, there was a huge crowd of working people at train, bus and launch terminals. However, the journey was relatively comfortable in many cases compared to other times.

On March 21, Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the largest religious festivals of the Muslim Ummah, was celebrated with religious fervor across the country. A total of seven-day general holiday was declared from March 17 to 23 on this occasion.

Meanwhile, the newspaper industry also had a five-day holiday on the occasion of Eid. The Newspaper Owners Association of Bangladesh announced this holiday from March 19 to 23. That holiday also ended yesterday (March 24).
