'Please be careful', Mirza Abbas tells PM
BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas has expressed concern over possible conspiracies against party Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, urging him to remain vigilant. He said just as conspiracies are being hatched against the party and will continue to be, the Prime Minister may also face conspiracies.
He made the remarks at a discussion meeting organised on the occasion of BNP's 48th founding anniversary at the Krishi Bhaban auditorium in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon, September 5, in the presence of Tarique Rahman.
Warning the Prime Minister, Mirza Abbas said: "Many conspiracies are being hatched against this party, many more will be, and many conspiracies will be hatched against you too. Please be careful."
He said, "No doubt you are very generous, but not everywhere and every time will be the same. There are many workers and leaders who speak very nicely in front of you but do not speak well outside."
Advising Tarique Rahman to be more cautious, Mirza Abbas said the Prime Minister needs to keep a careful eye on the activities of party leaders and workers and the information they provide.
Recalling Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Mirza Abbas said Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman did not die a natural death. Although Khaleda Zia's death was natural, the manner in which she passed away was not desirable for any of them.
Praising various activities of the Prime Minister, Mirza Abbas said Tarique Rahman has already done many commendable works. However, the good work is being undermined by the words and actions of some bad people.
He again called on the Prime Minister to be more vigilant in verifying the activities of party leaders and workers and the information received from them.
Leaders and activists from various levels of BNP were present at the discussion meeting.
