PM inaugurates land service fair 2026

Tarique Rahman inaugurated the “Land Service Fair-2026” at the Land Building in Tejgaon, Dhaka on Tuesday (May 19).

The fair was launched at 10am with the theme: “Citizen-Friendly Automated Land Management, Secure Land and a Prosperous Future.”

The main objective of the fair is to simplify land-related services, raise public awareness about digital platforms and citizen services, and ensure that such services reach grassroots communities.

Speaking at a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday, Md Mizanur Rahman Minu said that in the past, people had a negative perception of land management due to lawsuits, middlemen, delays and corruption, which caused immense suffering, particularly for rural residents.

He said the current government is working to ensure transparent, accountable and technology-based land services.

“We want people to access most land services from their homes. Automation activities have been strengthened so citizens can receive quick services without facing harassment at land offices,” the minister added.
