PM instructs BNP leaders, activists to cooperate with law enforcement

Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has instructed party leaders and activists to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order in the country.

He gave the directive to leaders and activists after the swearing-in of newly elected members of parliament from the Bogura-6 and Sherpur-3 constituencies at the National Parliament Secretariat on Sunday, April 12. Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon confirmed the matter.

The prime minister said, "You will cooperate with the administration and law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order in your areas. If someone does something that disrupts peace in the area, it is your responsibility to inform law enforcement agencies. Never take the law into your own hands."

He further said, "Development and maintenance of peace and order must be ensured in your areas at any cost."
