PM on way to China after Malaysia visit
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has left for China after completing his official visit to Malaysia. He and his entourage left Kuala Lumpur International Airport around 5pm on Monday (June 22).
The Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said that the Prime Minister will first land in the Chinese port city of Dalian. During his two-day stay there, he will participate in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. After the program in Dalian, the main formalities of the visit will begin in the capital Beijing.
Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs Zulfiqli Hassan and his wife bid farewell to the Prime Minister at the VIP terminal of the Bunga Ray Complex at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim and Deputy High Commissioner Shahanara Monica were also present at the time.
This is Tarique Rahman's first foreign visit after four months of assuming office as Prime Minister. He visited Malaysia with his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman. It is reported that another new member is joining the 23-member delegation on the China visit.
