PM resumes office at secretariat after Eid holidays

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman resumed official duties at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday (June 1), marking the first working day after the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.

He entered the Secretariat around 10:00am, according to Deputy Press Secretary Zahidul Islam Rony.

Sources at the Prime Minister’s Office said Tarique Rahman arrived at the Secretariat in the morning following the Eid break and immediately began a series of official engagements.

As part of his schedule, the Prime Minister is expected to hold a meeting with the administrator of Khulna City Corporation at around 10:30am. Later, at 1:30pm, he will attend discussions with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs at the Cabinet Building.

At 2:00pm, he is scheduled to join a meeting focused on strategies for the development of the pharmaceutical industry.

Officials said the Prime Minister’s presence and resumption of meetings signal the full-scale return of government administrative activities after the Eid holidays.
