PM shakes hands with children after Jumu'ah prayers
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman spent time with children and adolescents after performing Jumu'ah prayers at the central mosque of the Naval Headquarters in Banani. He shook hands with the children present there and affectionately patted some on their heads.
It has been learned that he has been offering Jumu'ah prayers at this mosque since returning from London.
Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said, "Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's wife Zubaida Rahman performed prayers in a separate section for women at the mosque. As the Prime Minister was leaving after prayers, he went to the children and adolescents, exchanged pleasantries and asked about their well-being. The children were overjoyed and spoke with the Prime Minister."
The children were delighted to have Prime Minister Tarique Rahman close to them. When Zubaida Rahman came out of the mosque later, the Prime Minister bid farewell to the children saying, "Allah Hafez."
Waving to the children, the Prime Minister then walked towards his car.
