Prime Minister Tarique Rahman joined a lunch with students, teachers and visitors from various educational institutions who came to watch the National Parliament session. He urged students to participate in sports alongside their studies and advised them to develop themselves as skilled and responsible citizens.

The lunch was held at the VIP cafeteria of the National Parliament building on Sunday, June 28, with a total of 70 participants.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, 29 students from the Law Department of Canadian University of Bangladesh, 21 underprivileged students and teachers from 'Surbhi' — an associate organisation of the Mass Literacy Campaign — and 16 students and teachers from Tejgaon College Debating Society attended the event.

During the lunch, the prime minister interacted with the students, inquiring about their studies, future plans and various other matters.

He said students must give importance to sports alongside their studies and develop themselves as capable, skilled and responsible citizens.

Noting that the current generation is the country's future, the prime minister said students must prepare themselves from now to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh.
