PM Tarique Rahman chairs first ECNEC meeting, approves 17 projects

The first meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) of the new government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was held on Monday, April 6, at the Cabinet Division meeting room in the Bangladesh Secretariat.

A total of 17 projects costing Tk 13,161 crore were presented for approval at the meeting, which was chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Among the projects presented were four related to rivers, water and climate change; five infrastructure development projects; three road construction and development projects; two medical college hospital and dental college hospital construction projects; two technology development projects; and one partnership-based development project.

Ministers and high-ranking officials concerned were present at the meeting to present and discuss various development project proposals.
