PM Tarique Rahman meets injured July fighter Mitu

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has met with Mitu, a fighter injured in the July Mass Uprising, and inquired about his physical condition. The meeting, where Mitu attended the event directly from the hospital while undergoing treatment, created an emotional atmosphere at the programme.

The incident took place at the inauguration ceremony of the 'July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum' at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Wednesday, August 5, marking the July Mass Uprising Day.

At the event, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman called Mitu over and asked about his physical condition. He inquired about the progress of his treatment and paid tribute to his courage and sacrifice in the July Mass Uprising.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had formally inaugurated the 'July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum'. He later participated in a discussion programme titled 'July 36'.

The Prime Minister's Assistant Press Secretary K M Nazmul Haque said Mitu was among the invited guests at the event. He was injured in the July 2024 Mass Uprising and is still undergoing treatment. He came to the event directly from the hospital.

The Prime Minister's daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman was also present at the time. The Prime Minister's heartfelt conversation with the injured July fighter created an emotional moment among the guests present at the programme.
