PM Tarique Rahman pays tribute at Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia's grave
Prime Minister (PM) Tarique Rahman, accompanied by members of his cabinet, paid homage at the graves of the late President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia on Wednesday (February 18) at 12:05pm.
The ceremony included wreath-laying and a recitation of prayers.
Earlier, at 11:00am, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman began the day by paying tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar, where he observed a one-minute silence and laid wreaths with his cabinet members.
As part of the commemorations, he also planted a “Parijat” sapling at the memorial, honouring the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in Bangladesh’s struggle for independence.
