PM Tarique Rahman to visit Türkiye for COP31 in November

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Türkiye in November to attend the 31st UN Climate Change Conference, COP31, Foreign Affairs State Minister Humayun Kabir has said.

Kabir disclosed the planned visit during a meeting with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Musa Kulaklikaya on Thursday (August 27) on the sidelines of the 23rd OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The two sides exchanged views on regional issues and expressed readiness to work closely on matters of mutual interest.

They also voiced satisfaction with the existing level of bilateral cooperation and discussed expanding ties in trade, investment, diplomacy and other key areas.

Both sides stressed the importance of taking Bangladesh-Türkiye relations to a higher level.

During the meeting, Kabir informed his Turkish counterpart that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman would travel to Türkiye to participate in the upcoming COP conference.
