Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will pay tribute to the martyrs at the National Memorial in Savar on the occasion of the Great Independence Day tomorrow, Thursday. Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony said the prime minister will lay a wreath at the National Memorial between 5:00 am and 6:00 am. Afterwards, on his way back to Dhaka, he will pay tribute at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia by 7:00 am. Additionally, the President and the Prime Minister will attend the parade at the National Parade Ground at 9:45 am.

প্রধানমন্ত্রী তারেক রহমান আগামীকাল বৃহস্পতিবার মহান স্বাধীনতা দিবস উপলক্ষে সাভারের জাতীয় স্মৃতিসৌধে শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানাবেন। ডেপুটি প্রেস সচিব জাহিদুল ইসলাম রনি জানান, ভোর ৫টা থেকে ৬টার মধ্যে তিনি জাতীয় স্মৃতিসৌধে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করবেন। এরপর ঢাকায় ফেরার পথে সকাল ৭টার মধ্যে শহীদ রাষ্ট্রপতি জিয়াউর রহমান বীর উত্তম ও সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী খালেদা জিয়ার সমাধিতে শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করবেন। এছাড়া সকাল ৯টা ৪৫ মিনিটে জাতীয় প্যারেড গ্রাউন্ডে অনুষ্ঠিত কুচকাওয়াজ অনুষ্ঠানে মহামান্য রাষ্ট্রপতি ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী উপস্থিত থাকবেন।
