PM to visit Gazipur on Wednesday

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Gazipur tomorrow, Wednesday (May 20). It is reported that a festive atmosphere prevails across the district surrounding the visit.

Extensive preparations have been made at the government and party levels. The main attraction of the visit is the 46th National Rally 2026 of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force.

The Prime Minister will attend the rally organized at Safipur Ansar Academy as the chief guest on Wednesday morning. There, he will deliver a directional speech to the members of the force.

Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan said that after the rally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate an important development program in the Gacha area of ​​Gazipur in the afternoon. There, he will lay the foundation stone of the 'National Disaster and Training Institute' building.

He also said that such an institute with modern facilities will open new horizons in the country's disaster management and training system.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, the Prime Minister has a deep connection with Gazipur, his childhood and family memories, which makes this visit even more significant.
