PM to visit Mymensingh on Saturday
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Mymensingh on Saturday.
The information was confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Press Wing on Friday (May 22).
According to the press wing, the premier will inaugurate a canal re-excavation project, attend the national programme marking the birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, and participate in an organisational meeting during the visit.
The prime minister is expected to leave Dhaka by road for Trishal at 9am on Saturday.
Around 12pm, he will inaugurate the re-excavation of Dharar Khal in Balar Union under Trishal upazila.
After a break at the Nazrul Dak Bungalow in Trishal at 2pm, the prime minister will join the national programme at Nazrul Mancha at 3pm marking the 127th birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam and inaugurate the three-day event.
Later at 5pm, he will attend an organisational meeting of the north, south and metropolitan units of Bangladesh Nationalist Party at the Nazrul Auditorium in Trishal.
The prime minister is scheduled to leave for Dhaka by road at 6:30pm.
