PM works nearly 16 hours amid ongoing challenges
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday (April 2) carried out nearly 16 hours of continuous official duties, focusing on addressing both global pressures and domestic challenges.
According to Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman, the prime minister remained engaged in state affairs from 9:00am until 11:50pm.
The day began at the Secretariat, where he reviewed key files and chaired high-level policy meetings. In the afternoon, he joined the national parliament session, taking part in proceedings until 8:00pm.
Immediately after the session, he chaired a special cabinet meeting around 8:45pm, where discussions on energy conservation and expenditure control continued for nearly two and a half hours.
Despite the meeting ending at around 11:30pm, the prime minister returned to his office to complete pending administrative tasks, underscoring an extended workday without significant breaks.
